SIKESTON -- Events surrounding the 57th annual Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo are less than a month away, and organizers are working to be prepared for the Aug. 5 through 8 event.

"Right now we're working really hard to get a lot of stuff done," said Patrick Douglas, publicity chair for this year's event. This includes improvements made for new attractions this year, as well as just replacing signs and sprucing up around the rodeo grounds.
