Sikeston's hot bats carried over from Thursday night's domination of the Aurora All-Stars, as the team recorded 14 hits in just three innings of work. Sikeston's Caleb Watkins and Jason Jarrell both struck for towering home runs in the contest. Jarrell and Sam Cox lead the way in runs batted in with 3 RBI's a piece.
"They (New Madrid) have a left-handed pitcher that's pretty tough, but our boys handled him well," Sikeston head coach Bobby Stinnett said. "Our boys came out and knocked the ball all over the field again today. When you get into those teams' heads with that a little bit, your usually pretty successful."
New Madrid head coach Tim Campbell, whose team fielded well, noted that Sikeston hit the ball away from New Madrid defenders.
