Emergency alert program offered to county residents

BENTON -- Scott County has a new way to keep its citizens up-to-date on emergencies, events and other information.

During their meeting Thursday, commissioners heard a presentation on the Nixle system, recently implemented by the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
