Local Girl Scouts to offer member registration with sleepover and fun

SIKESTON -- Looking to recruit new members, the Sikeston area Girl Scouts are conducting a sleepover registration next weekend in Sikeston.

The first-time event will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and end at 8 a.m. Aug. 22 at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston. The event is open to girls in kindergarten through 12th grade who who live in the southern portion of the area, such as Sikeston, Morehouse, Matthews, Blodgett, Miner. A snack and light breakfast will be served.
