SIKESTON -- Hard hitting defense, explosive bursts of offense and all-around aggressiveness on both sides of the ball was what some fans saw at the annual Red and Black game of the Sikeston Bulldogs on Friday night.
Seeing a swarming defense and an offense that can break out for big yardage was all well and good, but for Sikeston head coach Kent Gibbs, it was the aggressiveness on both sides that he like the most.
"I thought we were aggressive. That's the big thing," Gibbs said. "We made some mistakes but that's to be expected. Overall, I liked our enthusiasm and I liked our aggressiveness."
With the first team defense stealing most of the show by not allowing much, if any, yardage early on, the first team offense also had their moments as well.
