Wyatt woman injured in wreck

CHARLESTON -- A Wyatt woman was seriously injured in a Wednesday afternoon accident in Mississippi County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 3:35 p.m. on Route D, five miles southeast of Charleston, when the westbound vehicle driven by Kristen N. Haines, 19, of Wyatt, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert.

Haines was transported by air helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where she was treated for serious injuries.
