Baby in dumpster report is hoax

CARUTHERSVILLE - A tip that an infant's body was left in a city dumpster proved to be unfounded but not until extensive investigation by law enforcement.

At noon Monday the Caruthersville Police Department received a report that a woman had delivered a baby then disposed of the body in a dumpster in the town's business district.
