SIKESTON -- "Guiding Light" fan Kari Wilhelm of New Hamburg remembers the late 1990s when she was a student at Arkansas State University. She and her roommate -- a "General Hospital" fan -- each had classes that ended at 1:50 p.m. That left 10 minutes for each to return to their dorm room and catch their respective soap operas, which both started at 2 p.m.
