Bridge over muddy waters

One of the first of 800 bridges approved for improvement by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is the Little River Drainage Ditch bridge on Route W in New Madrid County. The bridge, located near Kewanee, is being replaced as part of the "Safe and Sound" program. In order to make the improvements, Route W is closed from Route AE to County Road 613. The project is scheduled to be completed, weather permitting, this month.
