Wednesday, December 9, 2009

BENTON -- Filling out assessment lists will be easy for most Scott County residents this year.

Teresa Houchin, Scott County assessor, presented Scott County commissioners with information during their regular meeting Tuesday about new personal property assessment software her office will soon use.

The software is a product of VillaGIS Inc. of Branson, according to Houchin. The one-time cost for conversion to the new software is $2,000 with an annual subscription cost of $3,500. The new software also requires scanning software which costs $1,000.
