Three fires are under investigation

PORTAGEVILLE - A series of fires is under investigation by the Portageville Police Department.

Portageville Police Chief Ronnie Adams described the blazes as "suspicious" in nature. He noted none of the buildings had electrical service and the cause of the blazes has yet to be determined.
