Bringing beauty to the worship place

SIKESTON -- Christian churches may have their different beliefs, but during the Christmas season, they share a common goal: to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ through their various decorations.

"Christmas is an easy time, especially in worship space, to bring beauty in, and people really appreciate when they see beautiful things," said Jeremiah Reeve, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. "The trees and lights add to people's experiences."
