SIKESTON -- Long gone may be the days of only finding a bag of peanuts, gum or alcohol to give as last-minute Christmas presents.

Today's convenience stores -- most of which are open during normal business hours on Christmas day -- offer a wide selection of gifts -- from sleeved blankets to national chain gift cards to brand name candles.
