CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Despite a huge third quarter, the New Madrid County Central Eagles fell to Lake County, Tenn. 58-53 in the consolation bracket of the Southern Illinois Orthopedic Center Carbondale Holiday Tournament on Wednesday.
NMCC trailed 35-29 at halftime but outscored Lake County 18-4 in the third quarter to take a 47-39 lead entering the fourth. However, Lake County took control in the fourth to earn the 58-53 win.
Kony Ealy led the Eagles with 18 points while grabbing nine rebounds. G'Darius Stevenson finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.
