Ground broken for convention center

The ground breaking ceremony for Miner's convention center was held Friday morning. Pictured are city and county officials, representatives from Sides Construction Company and Dille and Traxel - the construction company and architectural firm working on the project, and other members of the Sikeston-Miner business community. Work on the 16,000 square-foot, single-story building is expected to be completed by August, according to city officials.
