SIKESTON -- A year ago today Southeast Missouri residents like Altha Robinson of Sikeston awoke to ice-covered roads and downed trees and power lines.
Robinson, who worked part-time for a local school district, said she turned on the TV the morning of Jan. 27 to see if her school was canceled. It was so she went back to bed like she did every other snow day.
