Police report rise in thefts from vehicles

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is asking people to remember to lock their vehicles overnight.

In recent weeks, there have been numerous reports of property stolen from vehicles, Sgt. Jim McMillen, public information officer, said in a news release.
