High waters halt ferry operations

HICKMAN, Ky. -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is closed due to high water on the Mississippi River.

The ferry, which connects Hickman and Dorena, Mo., halted operations about 11 a.m. Wednesday when floodwaters interfered with docking and loading of vehicles at the Kentucky landing.
