Road crews stay busy battling wintry weather

SIKESTON -- Clearing roads after Monday night's snow was easy enough for area road crews -- thanks to some timely sunshine.

"Mother nature is helping us a whole bunch," Norman Brant, highway superintendent for the Scott County Road and Bridge Department, said Tuesday afternoon. "The heat from the sun is helping. Our roads are in pretty fair shape overall."
