During Lent, world's Christians set aside time for reflection, sacrifice

SIKESTON -- Today, Christians will begin a 40-day period of repentance, fasting and sacrifice during the season of Lent. And Church leaders urge that individuals make it a time of spiritual renewal, in an effort to grow closer with the Lord.
