Telethon Idol tryouts will be in Sikeston

SIKESTON -- Just like the television show, "American Idol," the Kenny Rogers Children's Center's Telethon Idol will move its auditions to another city this year.

Tryouts for the fifth annual singing competition fundraiser will take place in Sikeston. The a cappella auditions will begin at noon Saturday at the Sikeston Factory Outlet Mall.
