Donations coming in for city's drug dog

MINER -- Miner's citizens and business owners have demonstrated their support of the city police department getting a drug dog -- with their wallets and pocketbooks.

Chad Melton, the Miner Police Department's canine officer, reported during the regular monthly Board of Aldermen meeting Thursday on his efforts to raise money toward the setup, training and first-year costs for a K-9 unit.
