Honor set for local leader

SIKESTON -- One of Sikeston's first black business women and community leaders will be honored for her contributions during a public tribute this weekend.

Sikeston native Sue Marble will be the recipient of the West End Community Betterment Association's first Black History Month Outstanding Citizen Award from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Center, 230 West Front St., in Sikeston.
