On the farm: Man creates miniature farm scene

Jimmy Bruenderman of Charleston looks over his wooden creation he dubbed "The Big Farm" which is on display at Wally's restaurant inside Boomland at Charleston. Using lumber from an old family barn, Bruenderman constructed a barn and blacksmith shop and used antique animals and tractors as accents.

Hobby leads to unique display


CHARLESTON -- Making wooden birdhouses started as a hobby for Jimmy Bruenderman and evolved into his creation of "the big farm."

Using lumber from an old family barn dating back to the 1940s, Bruenderman pieced together a barn and black smith shop complete with farmers, animals and equipment.
