Two charged in convenience store robbery

BENTON -- Two rural Haywood City men were charged Thursday for their involvement in the January robbery at a Benton convenience store.

Jim "Bug" Harris Jr., 49, and Timothy Winston, 36, are charged with first degree robbery, armed criminal action and felony stealing for the Jan. 28 robbery at AmeriMart in Benton, according to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.
