Formerly ASCS, the agency seeks to bridge gap between USDA and farmers/ranchers


CHARLESTON -- With more than two decades experience owning and managing a family farm, Stephen T. Burke knows a lot about the agriculture community.

And he'll take all that experience, plus what he hears from others involved in agriculture, into account over the next four years while he serves as chairperson of the United States Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency State Committee in Missouri.
