Drug case brings 20 year jail term

CHARLESTON -- A Howardville man was sentenced to prison Tuesday for selling crack in New Madrid.

Derrick Williamson, who was born in 1966, was sentenced to 20 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole by David Dolan, 33rd Judicial Circuit judge, according to a news release from New Madrid County Prosecuting Attorney Lewis H. Recker. Williamson was convicted of distributing crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute by a Mississippi County jury on Feb. 5.
