SIKESTON -- Two years into its three-year districtwide technology plan, Sikeston R-6 has already received six times the amount it initially spent to get a project started.
Michelle Gilmer, R-6 technology coordinator, provided the Board of Education with a follow-up report to the district's 2008-2011 technology plan during Tuesday's monthly meeting.
Gilmer and district network administrator Eddie Lowrey presented each board member with a 20-minute DVD of how each school building uses technology. Then they played for the Board a portion of the DVD containing photos of students using technology at Matthews Elementary and the Fifth and Sixth Grade Center.
