Local chapter will hold first meeting tonight at Library
SIKESTON -- Getting a get a bird in the hand starts with there being plenty in the bush -- and plenty of bush for them to be in.
An organizational meeting to establish a Quail Forever chapter here is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Sikeston Public Library. Quail Forever is the nation's leading organization dedicated to restoring quail habitat.
Hunting quail is rewarding
SIKESTON -- Hunting quail is "more like a rabbit hunt" than hunting doves or ducks, according to Tim Kavan, private land conservationist with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
