Showers ended Saturday in plenty of time for the annual Easter egg hunt at the Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site in New Madrid on Saturday. Youngsters found lots of ways to wait for their turn to hunt from making hats to scouting for eggs. During the event they gathered more than 1,400 eggs.
