Turnout light in Mississippi County; school boards decided

CHARLESTON -- Turnout was light in municipal elections in Mississippi County on Tuesday, as there were few opposed races outside of school board candidates.

Thirteen percent -- or 1,080 --of the county's 8,500 voters turned out for Tuesday's election, according to Junior DeLay, Mississippi County Clerk.
