EAST PRAIRIE -- A walk-off home run by Mikey Russell in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the East Prairie Eagles a 3-2 win on Friday night over the visiting St. Vincent Indians.
Russell drilled the second pitch he saw over the fence to break the 2-2 tie which was made possible by a two-run home run from Drew Armbruster in the top of the seventh. It was the only blemish starter Connor Scott had in his seven innings on the mound.
Russell, who went 2-for-4, gave Scott the win in the bottom half of the seventh inning. Scott gave up two earned runs on four hits. He also struck out eight.
Dalton Golightly went 2-for-3 with two RBI and stolen base to lead the Eagles.

DEERING -- The Risco Tigers scattered runs and blasted 13 hits against the Delta C7 Chargers on Friday afternoon earning the 12-8 win.
"We had a lot of innings were we scored a run or two, but we never could put together a big inning," Risco head coach Brandon Blankenship said.
Brandon Bennett and Zack Williams each went 3-for-4 at the plate with Bennett pounded two doubles.
Justin Earnheart earned the win on the mound going six innings and allowing eight runs, four earned, on five hits and four walks. He also struck out four.
"Earnheart threw the ball well into the fifth but then we booted the ball around a little bit," Blankenship said.
The Tigers (7-3) will host the Clarkton Reindeer on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
