SIKESTON -- Mothers and daughters can spend an afternoon together and learn a little history in the process this weekend during Sikeston Public Library's annual Mother-Daughter Tea.
Children's librarian Ann Thompson said the purpose behind the tea, set for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the facility, is to celebrate upcoming Mother's Day and the bond between mothers and daughters.
