KENTUCKY LAKE -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their second tournament of the year on April 18 on Kentucky Lake with the weigh-in at KenLake Marina.
Mike Estes won the tournament with three bass weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces, including the tournament Big Bass of 4 pounds,12 ounces which enabled him to win the tournament via the big bass tiebreaker.
Curtis Gross came in second with four bass weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces and Ty Garrett came in third with four bass weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces. Travis Garrett won the "Lucky Drawing."
Most of the top finishers reported catching their fish on jigs and lipless crankbaits. The windy conditions made it difficult to navigate the main lake.
Ty Garrett leads in the Angler of the Year race with 286 points. Mike Estes is second with 268 points and John Wilson is third with 235 points.
The club travels to Lake Barkley for the third tournament of the season out of the Devil's Elbow ramp on May 23.
