SHS actors recreate '50s in upcoming production

Actors in the Sikeston Senior High School production of "Bye Bye Birdie" rehearse the "Telephone Hour" scene of the play, in which the young people of Sweet Apple, Ohio, find out Hugo Peabody has given Kim MacAfee his pin, meaning the two are going steady. The production is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Sikeston Field House.

SIKESTON -- Those who attend this week's Sikeston Senior High School annual play can look forward to two hours of laughs and a flash back to the mid 1950s, as the students present "Bye Bye Birdie."
