Sikeston's history

Students at Southeast Elementary School celebrated Sikeston's 150th birthday with a presentation of its history in musical form Thursday afternoon. The tale, complete with Indians and settlers, provided some of the details of the community's earliest times through World War II. Pictured below are Samuel Clemens, Mark Twain, Sikeston founder John Sikes and his wife, Catherine.
