Sunday, May 30, 2010

JEFFERSON CITY --- A Sikeston-area man was sentenced on Friday to 50 years in state prison after he was convicted on four counts of statutory sodomy and one count of first-degree statutory rape before Iron County Circuit Court Judge Randall Louis Head.

Attorney General Chris Koster said a jury found Jeremy Beedle guilty after hearing trial testimony that Beedle, then 24, had sexual contact with a 13-year-old female in December 2006. The crime took place in Ellington in Reynolds County when Beedle and the victim's family lived there. The victim testified at the trial about the facts of the history of the molestation.
