12 killed on roads during holiday

JEFFERSON CITY - Twelve people died in traffic crashes during the 2010 July Fourth holiday counting period. The counting period began at 6 p.m., Friday and ended at 11:59 p.m., Monday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked 281 crashes in which six people died and 139 were injured.
