State champions

The Sikeston 14-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars won the Missouri State Championship at the state tournament held July 23-27 in Boonville with a record of 4-0. The team beat MABA National 10-0, Centralia 12-11 and Boonville 7-1 and 16-1. The team will now move on to the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament in Williston, N.D., to be held August 6-11.
