Emergency crews work the scene of an accident that occurred around 5:37 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 60, two miles west of Sikeston. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred when a westbound vehicle driven by Bradley A. Jones, 18, of Dexter, drove into the rear of a westbound vehicle driven by Vicky Brimm, 58, of Danville, Ark., which was pulling a camping trailer. The collision caused Brimm's vehicle to jackknife and run off the roadway, when it overturned. Brimm and her passenger, 62-year-old Eldon R. Grimm, also of Danville, sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. No injuries were reported for Brimm.
