SIKESTON -- When Charles and Constance Michael of Sikeston went to Cape Girardeau to pick up one of his old wrestling buddies on Aug. 6 for a visit, they didn't meet him at the airport or bus terminal.

They picked him up from the river.

"I canoed down here from the northern Mississippi (River)," explained Josh Troegle, 28. "It took me about seven weeks."
