The cause of an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car remains under investigation by the Miner Police Department. The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. Friday on Highway 62, near the Interstate-55 south on-ramp, according to Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs. The Sikeston Department of Public Safety's Fire Division assisted Miner Police in extricating the driver of the car from her vehicle. She was flown to an area hospital by Air Evac for treatment of moderate injuries, Griggs said.
