JACKSON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs soccer team pulled off their biggest win of the year on Tuesday night defeating the Jackson Indians 2-1.

A game-winning goal by Sikeston's Hunter Williams sealed their victory in the 78th minute.

"This was a huge win," Sikeston head coach Doyle Noe said. "I'd say that Jackson and Farmington are the two teams to beat in our area. We didn't back down. We came out hard and battled tough and came out with a big win at their place."

Jackson's Law Duncan gave the Indians an early 1-0 lead in the 20th minute of the first half.

A second half goal by Sikeston's Grant Hinton with an assist by Williams tied the game late in the 65th minute followed by Williams' game-winner with an assist from Josh Bill.

Sikeston (8-9) will travel to Marion, Ill. on Thursday.
