Poll workers, election judges have numerous responsibilities

SIKESTON -- Voters play an important role in deciding elections, but those who work at the polls Election Day count just as much.

Poll workers and election judges staff polling places on Election Day and are the citizens who help ensure the voting process goes smoothly, according to the Missouri Secretary of State website.
