SIKESTON -- The Lashmet brothers will observe Veterans Day this year with a fresh perspective.

Bill Lashmet, 61, of Sikeston and his brother, Robert Lashmet, 57, of Springfield grew up knowing their father, the late Fred W. Lashmet, fought in World War II.
