BENTON -- The Kelly Lady Hawks will return five players from a 17-10 team last year and will be on a quest to build on that fortune.

Seniors Kristen Powell and Kayla Hicks will lead the Lady Hawks this year as they depart with senior Londyn Backfisch who led Kelly with 12 points per game in her last season.

Both Powell and Hicks averaged 10 points a game as juniors.

Helping fill out the starting five will be seniors Haley Glastetter, Kaitlin Glastetter and Kristen Vetter.

Juniors Bridgette Chandler and Karlie Ashcraft will look to receive numerous minutes while sophomore Katie Koonce will also be expected to eat up valuable playing time.

"We would like to focus on having a positive attitude, play hard and play as a team," Kelly head coach Rod McQuerter said.

Kelly's season will open on Dec. 2 at Chaffee.
