BELL CITY -- A 39-point outburst by Jordon Pavy helped guide the fourth-seeded Risco Tigers past the fifth-seeded Richland Rebels Monday night, winning 57-55 in overtime to open up the Bell City JV Tournament.
Knotted up at 55 apiece, Pavy added the final two points of the game when he connected on two free throws with two seconds left in overtime to secure the win.
After trailing 34-29 coming into the fourth, it was Risco going on a 21-16 run in the quarter that allowed the Tigers to force overtime.
Behind Pavy's 39-points, Brandon Bixler came away second in scoring for the Tigers with 11.
As for Richland, Nick Daniels led the Rebels attack with 24-points while Jesse Barnes came in second on the team with nine.
