Chaffee gets road win over Woodland

MARBLE HILL -- The Chaffee Red Devils took a 18-point lead into the fourth quarter before taking down the Woodland Cardinals 76-59.

Led by Alex Crowe's 21 points on the contest, the Red Devils were ahead by nine at the half before a 19-10 run in the third quarter doubled their lead on a night where Chaffee hit only 9 of 22 from the free throw line.

As for Woodland, Neil Johnson and Martin Williams were top scorers for the Cardinals with 15 and 14 points respectively.

Chaffee also won the junior varsity game 53-50.

GIDEON -- Scoring 26 points, including four 3-pointers, Jordan McGowan helped the Bernie Mules to an 83-52 win over the Gideon Bulldogs.

Holding a 6-point lead at the half, the Mules went on outscore the Bulldogs 37-17 in the second half to run away with the game.

Cameron Shipman also went over the 20 point mark for Bernie, scoring 21 while contributing three 3-pointers.

Leopold 79, Bell City 34

BELL CITY -- Jumping out quick on 30-12 lead in the first quarter against the Bell City Cubs, the Leopold Wildcats cruised to an easy 79-34 win.

The Wildcats were able to build a 34-point advantage by the half before still going to outscore the Cubs in the final two quarters.

Tying for the team lead for Leopold was Kyle Stroder and Lance Seiler who had 21 points apiece while Terrance Johnson led Bell City with eight.

Leopold also won the junior varsity game 50-35 over Bell City.
