BENTON - A Benton man accused of pointing a gun at his wife and throwing furniture at her and their children is in custody.
Charles Bridges, 51, is charged with assault in the third degree, endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree, careless and imprudent driving and resisting arrest. Bond is set at $2,500.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office received the call about 8:30 p.m. Monday. "During the initial call, it was reported Bridges was armed with a shotgun, and was pointing it at his wife," said Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter in a news release.
