RISCO -- The Risco Tigers could not hold back the visiting Clarkton Reindeer late on Tuesday night as the Tigers fell to their rival, 80-73.
Clinging to a 1-point lead heading into the final frame, Risco was overrun by the Reindeer with three minutes left in regulation and gave up a once 9-point advantage.
"In the first half we got out running," Risco head coach Brandon Blankenship said. "We got up and down the floor. The second half, we slowed down. Clarkton did a good job of taking over. They got up by a possession late in the fourth quarter and we panicked."
Clarkton outscored the Tigers 23-15 in the fourth quarter leading to the win.
Luke Bixler led Risco with 28 points while Logan Blackburn paced the Reindeer with 21.
Risco (5-5) will travel to Campbell on Friday.
The Risco junior varsity also succumbed to the visiting Reindeer in the first game of the night, 59-51.
Brandon Bixler scored a team-high 15 points for the Tigers.

PORTAGEVILLE -- The Portageville Bulldogs took care of the Campbell Camels on Tuesday night, 79-38.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-4 on the season. They have now won three-straight games .
